STORY TELLER CALL OUT FOR NEW PROJECT

The Girl Who Fell Through the World is an original tale about Ola, a 10 year old girl. She is clever, confrontational and, most of all, bored. She lives on the 37th floor of a council building in the centre of Croydon with the most amazing view of the city, which she can’t visit. She loves reading stories about young people going on adventures or daydreaming about going on one.  Her parents obviously won’t let her leave, much to her frustration.

One day she finds a book that was not there before. This book transports her to other parts of the world. This is a story about growing up in a world holding you back. A coming of age voyage of self-discovery for 6-10 years olds

The whole tale will be told online and (if it is safe to do so) )we hope will be filming in our studio in Croydon.

We are now looking for three Storytellers from ideally, but not limited to, Croydon. In the story, she visits different parts of the globe where she is placed in the middle of the action. We are looking for traditional stories all over the world but will have a particular focus on tales from Poland, Africa, India and South America and people who can perform the stories live online.
